Luisa Maria Saldaña Puentes
Clay Work
Cultural, Art, and Health Mediator
Luisa Maria Saldaña Puentes is a multidisciplinary practitioner working at the intersection of culture, art, and health. She holds a degree in History with a specialization in Archaeology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and later completed a degree in Psychology with a focus on Health Psychology at UNED (member of COP Madrid: M-37848). She also holds a postgraduate degree in Human Biology and has pursued extensive training in primatology, pedagogy, cultural mediation, attachment theory, and neuropsychology.
Her artistic practice includes ceramics, basket weaving, embroidery, and collage—tools she uses to create meaningful, transformative experiences. Guided by three central questions—What do we need as a species? As a society? As individuals?—Luisa combines art and science to explore human development, well-being, and connection.
Her approach integrates humanistic and cognitive-behavioral psychology, with a growing focus on neuropsychology. She blends research-based methods with creative practices, always tailored to the needs and preferences of the individuals and communities she works with.
