Nr. 15 - Healing is a process: Why follow-up meetings make the difference

Healing doesn't happen in a single weekend. It's a process that needs space, support & continuity. That's exactly why follow-up meetings are an essential part of our work at Body Voices.
After the Body Voices Basic #2 weekend in Tübingen in October, participants now come together once a month, together with the group from 2023. And this is more than just a "meeting afterwards". It's a promise: we walk this path together.
Why Follow-Up Meetings Are So Important
What begins over three intensive days needs time to grow and take root. The psyche and the body need repetition to solidify new patterns. The nervous system gets to learn to regulate itself again and again. The soul needs continuity to build trust.
At the follow-up meetings, participants continue practicing – with breathwork, belly work, dance, singing, Restorative Yoga, TRE and Somatic Experiencing. They remember how good it feels when they use these tools. They experience that healing is not something that is "done to them", but something they can shape themselves. And they remain part of a community that holds them.
When Groups Grow Together
In the follow-up meetings, what is often lost in everyday life happens: exchange without explanations, connection without words, the feeling of "I am understood and accepted, just as I am."
Healing Needs More Than a Weekend
A workshop can make a beginning. But the real transformation happens in the time afterwards: when participants practice, try things out, stumble and keep going. When they notice that the exercises really help.
This is the core of our work at Body Voices: We don't just accompany you for a weekend. We walk the path with you – with structure, with support, with community.
Thank you for supporting us in this
With your donation, you enable not just an initial workshop weekend, but long-term support that creates sustainable change. You make it possible for practice spaces to be rented, trainers to be paid, and safe spaces to be created, month after month.
If you prefer to send your donation directly to us, write us an email at eva.michielin(at)body-voices.org.
Thank you for believing in long-term healing. Thank you for paving pathways with us that extend far beyond a weekend.
